Rana is a Japanese VOCALOID developed by We've Inc in collaboration with Internet Co., Ltd.. She was released for the VOCALOID3 engine. She was voiced by Ai Kakuma (加隈; Kakuma Ai), a Japanese voice actress.  Her voice was described by Kasane, a producer granted early use of Rana, as tomboy-ish and suited to rock.[2] Currently she has only been confirmed to be available from the magazine, Vocalo-P ni Naritai, whether she will eventually receive a digital or physical release is still uncertain.[3]

Due to the method of obtaining Rana, she is a Japan exclusive VOCALOID, and it is currently impossible to receive a full copy of her if you do not have a Japanese address from which to send in tickets.[4] She is the first VOCALOID released with permanent restrictions in place preventing overseas users from obtaining her full copy due to legal reasons.[5]
